Announcement on Supporting Native USDC Deposits and Withdrawals on Arbitrum Network

·

Dear MEXC Users,

To meet the diverse needs of users for stablecoin transactions, MEXC will enable deposits of native USD Coin (USDC) on the Arbitrum One network starting June 17, 2023, at 14:00 (UTC+8). Withdrawals for USDC on Arbitrum One will be activated once sufficient deposits are confirmed, without further notice.

Key Details:

  1. Network Naming Update:

    • Bridged USDC (previously labeled "USDC-ARB") will now appear as Arbitrum One (Bridged).
    • Native USDC will display as Arbitrum One—please verify the correct network before proceeding.
  2. Contract Addresses:

Why This Matters:

Arbitrum’s low fees and high speed make it ideal for stablecoin transfers. Native USDC ensures direct compatibility with protocols, avoiding bridge-related delays.

FAQ Section:

Q1: What’s the difference between bridged and native USDC on Arbitrum?
A1: Bridged USDC involves cross-chain transfers (e.g., from Ethereum), while native USDC is minted directly on Arbitrum, offering faster settlements.

Q2: When will withdrawals go live?
A2: Withdrawals activate automatically once deposit liquidity meets thresholds—no fixed timeline.

Q3: Are fees lower for native USDC?
A3: Yes! Native transactions bypass bridging costs, reducing overall fees.
